Passwords

Passwords are unique codes which allow us to securely log into a profile and restrict other users from accessing it. Passwords become particularly useful when we want to protect sensitive information, such as logging into our bank account.

If you follow these simple tips you will know how to make a password and, most importantly, you will be able to keep your online data safe:

  • Do not share your passwords with anyone online
  • Try to use different passwords for different websites
  • Do not use the same password for a highly sensitive account (like your bank) with a website that you don’t feel is legitimate
  • Use Google password manager to keep your passwords safe
  • Use numbers, letters, and symbols
  • Include some capital letters
  • Make it long in length (10 characters)
  • Avoid using your date of birth, bank card pin number, or anything obvious about yourself such as the street you live on.

NOTE: Google password manager will notify you of any password breach
